All this dress color argument reminds me of the old argument over the color of original Gatorade. Its clearly yellow, but some see it green. #matttweets
12 Tech Fads in Higher Ed | Technology and Learning @insidehighered https:/
This is an interesting list, but at the same time calling something a "fad" is in the eyes of the beholder. For those that still exist, there are people out there still doing great things with them. But there are also many, many people that never really jumped on the bandwagon with many of these. The comments are also interesting, where many people are letting personal feelings about technologies dictate what they think about them. #emergingtechnology #mattreading
Planning for a Successful MOOC
Location: University of Texas at Arlington's LINK Research Lab
Time:
Ends:
This roundtable discussion will focus on recent tales from the front lines of MOOC design, development, implementation and evaluation. The facilitator, Matt Crosslin, served as the lead designer of the Data, Analytics, and Learning (DALMOOC) offered through UT Arlington's LINK Lab in the Fall of 2014. Topics to be discussed will include: content quality issues, technology issues to be aware of, limitations and possibilities of MOOCs, participant engagement through social media outlets, and dual layer / multiple pathways approach to MOOC design. Are you currently offering a MOOC? Do you think you might be called upon to create a MOOC in the future? Are you just curious about what MOOCs look like behind the scenes? Participants at all levels of experience are welcome to ask questions and contribute ideas and concerns.

I always chuckle @ claims that college "encourages conformity." I wouldn't have gray hairs if we could ever get anyone to agree on anything. #matttweets
The half drunken redneck conversation at the Chilis bar about what they done saw on Twitter today has convinced me Twitter is no longer hip. #matttweets
